Ron has counselling training and a Diploma in Pastoral Ministry from BCNZ. He has worked in mental health, as a counsellor at The Peoples Centre and as an Industrial Chaplain. He has also run his own landscaping and painting businesses. Surfing, fishing, cars, hiking and music are some of his passions.

Anne has worked as a primary school teacher, then for 15 years in the film and television industry. In the early 1990s she retrained as a counsellor and psychotherapist and worked with Life Unlimited in Ponsonby and Focus in West Auckland. She is approved as a counsellor by ACC. Anne enjoys cooking, drama, films, reading, swimming and walking.

As a couple we have enjoyed working in the Alpha programme at St Georges Church in Epsom, and we are also much involved on the Auckland Board of VMTC prayer ministry.
